GE’s kitchen of the future which uses a large touch screen display. This large touch screen display features touch sensors that are spread across the entire surface, OLED primary lighting, and purifies water through ultraviolet light. This kitchen also allows you to do dishwashing detergent in bulk and dispenses it using algorithms to minimize leftover cleaning agents in wastewater. This kitchen extremely different from the ones of today but an actual concept might still be years away.

Apple-produced phone? Of course not, it is Nokia 6680 with a custom OS X-styled theme. Are they coming out with Windows XP version? I want one.

Floating Bed

Janjaap Ruijsenaars an Architect spent the last six years working on the development of a magnetic floating bed. A scale model of it was presented at the Millionaire Faire (I’m getting this from a very confusing Babel translation, so anyone, please chime in) recently. The bed simply floats in the air, above magnets, can carry up to 900 kilos and is held in place through four very thin tethers. Owning this babe magnet is not cheap, the scale model alone cost $144,037, while the real deal is expected about $1,503,000.

Xbox Handheld?

There’s rumours suspected that Microsoft’s development team is working on bringing a PSP-killing handheld Xbox into the world – so much so that the new issue of T3 magazine (on sale today) has an exclusive picture of how it’ll look like.

PublicMIND

I have made, i guess you can say, my own little small business. I call it "PublicMIND". I really actually hope to make this something real one day, but here's what i have so far....

PublicMIND is dedicated to providing inventors and new product idea developers with information, resources and help for each stage of the inventing process - from evaluating inventions, prototyping and patents, to invention submission, licensing, manufacturing and marketing. PublicMIND strives to maintain an environment where financial gain is won by insight, effort and risks taken wisely.

I personally believe that there are still some "Thomas Edison s" and "Alexander Graham Bell s" out there that are ready to show America what they've got. And PublicMIND is here to encourage them.

You Are Now on the Edge

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief, and then the heavens will vanish (pass away) with a thunderous crash, and the material elements of the universe will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up. Since all these things are thus in the process of being dissolved, what kind of person ought each of you to be in the meanwhile in consecrated and holy behavior and devout and godly qualities?" [2 Peter 3:10-11, Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

One of the most common questions we are asked is what does God expect us to do with the detailed information as to the approach of the reign of the Antichrist? What are we gonna do when we see our precious liberties steadily being taken away from us, and our Constitutional Form of Government in the process of being destroyed? Finally, what are we supposed to do to "survive" the coming holocaust of the forces of the Antichrist?

Day Of Silence

Since January 22, over 50,000,000 babies have had their voices silenced through surgical abortion in this nation alone.

Over 4,000 children have their lives taken each day in the name of choice.

Over 4,000 women are emotionally damaged every day.

On October 21st, people from all over this nation will give up their voices for a day in solidarity for these children. Red arm bands and duct tape will identify them as taking part in the Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity. They will carry fliers explaining why they are silent and educate others about the plight of the innocent children we are losing every day.

...Love Is Not Rude

Love is not arrogant or rude; the two certainly go hand in hand. In this culture, arrogance is generally thought of as a good trait. Just look at the Walt Disney movies for children; what is the character of the heroine? Arrogance supposedly means self confidence; rudeness is actually emulated among the teen culture. The manner in which they tease each other is usually filled with "bashing" everyone else, including their best friends.
In our natural state, our world revolves around ourselves; if we think of the other person before ourselves, we are considered weak. Why then would God expect us to be humble and kind - especially when others are being completely unkind to us?
Love is a many faceted emotion; its depth is truly amazing. What we need to remember is that we are not in this world to glorify ourselves. As Christians, everything we do is to glorify God. There is no room for arrogance, because we understand that everything that is good about us is good because God made it so!
1 Samuel 2:3 is a very sobering reminder that our actions are always visible to God. By Him our actions are weighed! Look at Christ, our perfect example. He, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, was willing to come to this earth as a
baby born to poor parents. As a child he became a carpenter and lived under the subjection of His parents. As an adult, He was crucified for us; there is no greater humility to endure than what Christ endured while on earth.
What an amazing God we have! Love is not arrogant or rude. God is love!
Pray that God will give you a humble spirit toward everyone around you, and that you will remember that the good you see in your life was put there by God!

...Love Does Not Envy or Boast

Love does not envy or boast. We live in a world filled with envy and boastfulness. Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes, All toil and skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor. That is a rather profound thought! Why do we call this a "dog eat dog" world? Envy is at the root of success! We fight with all of our being for that promotion, but is it really only the increase in salary that we are after? The increase in salary is nice, but being raised up in the eyes of our fellow workers is even nicer! 1 John tells us to guard our hearts because our hearts deceive us; it is important that we examine our hearts before the
Lord. Envy is natural to us; meekness is not! Boasting is really the flip side of envy; we envy others and we boast about ourselves. In the end, does it really matter what anyone thinks of us apart from God? Remember those school days? Oh how important it was to be in the "in" crowd. Our whole school life seemed to revolve around our "place" in the pecking order. Then what happened when you moved on - went to college or started a job? Suddenly all of those school labels meant nothing now. I really like 2 Corinthians 12:9; there is a circumstance where we really are allowed to boast! Paul said, Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Our weakness, our smallness, our frailty all bring glory to God. Remember our chief purpose? Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever! (Westminster Shorter Catechism) We are not here to bring honor or glory to our name; we only do good by the hand of God. Our boasting, therefore, should only be boasting in Christ. God is love; love does not envy or boast! Pray today that God will keep you from envy or boasting, but will instead cause you to glorify God.

...Love Is Patient and Kind

Love is patient and kind. Patience is not a characteristic that is natural to us; we live in an impetuous culture. Everything is right at our fingertips. Why
bother with snail-mail when can get immediate responses with email? There is no need to wait until we have a day free to go to the mall, just order online; and, by the way, order next day air and you'll have it tomorrow. Jesus told a story about a man who lacked both patience and kindness. One day, a king decided to settle his accounts with his servants. One by one each servant was brought before the king. One particular servant owed the king ten thousand talents. A talent is equivalent to about 20 years of wages; in other words this man would never be able to repay his debt in his lifetime! Knowing that he would be thrown into debtor's prison for the rest of his life, he fell
before the king begging him to be patient until he could pay the debt. The king, realizing the hopeless situation this man was in, forgave him the entire debt. Not long after this, this same servant found out that another fellow servant owed him a hundred deanarii; one denarii is worth the equivalent of one day's wage. He grabbed his fellow servant and began to choke him demanding that he pay his debt immediately. His fellow servant fell down begging him to be patient until he could pay the entire debt. The servant angrily threw him into prison until he could pay the entire debt. Remember, nothing that we do is hidden from God; in this case the other servants, seeing what had happened, went and reported it to the king. The king then called for the wicked servant and told him that, considering the great debt that had been forgiven him, he should have had pity on his fellow servant and forgiven him that little debt as well. In anger, the king threw this wicked servant into prison until his entire debt was paid. Why did Jesus tell this story? What was He trying to illustrate? Jesus, through His death on the cross, forgave our eternal debt which is impossible for anyone to pay by themselves. Yet, how quickly we forget; we are impatient and unkind toward our fellow man, and refuse to forgive the tiny infractions they have committed toward us. How often we hold a spirit of bitterness toward people because they dared to have wronged us! God is love! Love is patient and kind. Pray today that you will be patient and kind to all of those around you, no matter how they treat you. No matter how unfairly they treat you, it is only miniscule compared to your great debt of sin against God.

...The Greatest of These Is Love

What is love? Why does the Bible say, The greatest of these is love? (1 Corinthians 13:13) It took the apostle Paul 13 verses to answer those questions!
Think of the angels who appeared to the shepherds announcing the birth of the Lord Jesus. How must their voices have sounded to those bewildered shepherds. The angels were not just speaking, they were singing the praises of God! What a glorious sound that must have been! It is only the sound of clanging cymbals without love.
What a precious gift the prophets of old received from God; think of the mighty acts of Elijah and Elisha. What about Joseph and Daniel who were given the gift of interpreting dreams? Who had more knowledge than Solomon; even the Queen of Sheba admitted the things she had been told were only half as much as the reality of the wealth and wisdom of Solomon. Who had more faith than Abraham who by faith was willing to offer up his only son, Isaac, to God.
These are wonderful things; we marvel at such great men and women. Yet, they are nothing without love.
What if we sell everything we have and give all of our money to feed the poor? What if we are willing to be burned at the stake for Christ? Nothing - these are nothing without love!
If all of these things are nothing, then what exactly IS love? We are told in 1 John 4, that God is love. How do we know if we truly love one another; how do we know if we truly love God? These are important questions to answer. 1 Corinthians 13 contains the most detailed list of characteristics that truly define love.

Faith

credit to jermaine for teaching this to me and my fellow freinds in bible study

A Christian without faith is not a Christian! We all have lapses in our faith; sometimes our faith may ebb and wane, but the Christian life is a life of faith. We come to God in faith, we read and understand His Word through faith, and we walk every day of our lives with faith that this world is not our home. Our true home waits for us in heaven above where we will live with God forever.

What is faith? According to Hebrews 11:1, the substance of our faith is based upon things we hope for, and the evidence of our faith can not be seen. What kind of faith is that? Just think about that for a moment; true faith is a gift of God. The world can not understand Christians! Christians base their whole value system on things they hope for with no concrete evidence sitting right before their eyes.
Yes, it may seem foolish, but to the Christian it is the power of God unto salvation. It has always been this way from the beginning of time. The elders who received a good report were those who exhibited faith.

The world thinks it strange that Christians believe in a God who created this world in just six days. Yet, how ludicrous is it that the intricate life we see in plant, animals, and especially ourselves just happened by chance. It takes more "faith" to believe a lie than to believe the truth!

What an amazing God we have!

Does God Exist

The existence of God is a subject that has occupied schools of philosophy and theology for thousands of years. Most of the time, these debates have revolved around all kinds of assumptions and definitions. Philosophers will spend a lifetime arguing about the meaning of a word and never really get there. One is reminded of the college student who was asked how his philosophy class was going. He replied that they had not done much because when the teacher tried to call roll, the kids kept arguing about whether they existed or not.
Most of us who live and work in the real world do not concern ourselves with such activities. We realize that such discussions may have value and interest in the academic world, but the stress and pressure of day-to-day life forces us to deal with a very pragmatic way of making decisions. If I ask you to prove to me that you have $2.00, you would show it to me. Even in more abstract things we use common sense and practical reasoning. If I ask you whether a certain person is honest or not, you do not flood the air with dissertations on the relative nature of honesty; you would give me evidence one way or the other. The techniques of much of the philosophical arguments that go on would eliminate most of engineering and technology if they were applied in those fields.
The purpose of this brief study is to offer a logical, practical, pragmatic proof of the existence of God from a purely scientific perspective. To do this, we are assuming that we exist, that there is reality, and that the matter of which we are made is real. If you do not believe that you exist, you have bigger problems than this study will entail and you will have to look elsewhere.

Who IS God?

What a question! No matter who you ask, you are likely to get a different answer! The verses from the Psalms shown above have a great deal to say about the greatness of God, ending with, And His greatness is unsearchable. Who is your God? If His greatness is unsearchable, how can you ever expect to understand Him?
As always we must turn our eyes to the Word of God. Though we will never understand God perfectly in this life, there is much we can know and apply to our own daily walk with Him.
Who is God? As we traverse through this series of teen devotionals answering this question, my goal is to help you and I to gain a better understanding of Him so that our love for Him may grow deeper and deeper, and our lives will reflect His glory.
